Jobs for Youth is a County of San Mateo program that supports young people ages 14–21 as they prepare for and find work. It offers career and professional-development workshops (such as résumé writing and interview preparation), one-on-one guidance, a youth job board, networking, internships, and twenty $2,000 scholarships each year. Access to the job board requires becoming a member and completing a one-hour workshop. Jobs for Youth is an ongoing resource rather than a single application: individual programs and events run throughout the year, and some specific programs may have narrower age requirements.
