About this opportunity

The San Mateo County Youth Commission gives young people a formal voice in county government. Youth commissioners advise the County on issues affecting young people and participate in civic projects throughout their term. Up to 25 commissioners ages 13–21 serve at a time, and applications are generally open March through May. An easy-to-miss detail: youth can also participate as non-voting public members without applying at all — a more accessible pathway into the same room.
